Jeff, Alby, and the rest of the DARA staff paid so much attention to each student and to their individual needs and goals. They really focused in on what I wanted to do after graduating and really prepared me to make a career out of my passion.

In the DARA department, you’re not just a student; you’re family. The faculty and staff at the USF DARA program go beyond teaching; they mentor, guide, and treat you like a friend. Regardless of your background, your dreams and goals are respected and celebrated.
My time at the DARA program equipped me with the skills, tools, and an invaluable network that not only launched me into the professional world but continues to support me today. In the years since my graduation, my gratitude towards the program and its exceptional faculty has deepened.
No matter where my career journey takes me, I move forward with unwavering confidence, knowing that DARA and its dedicated faculty have provided me with the rock-solid foundation I needed to succeed.
If being in the music industry has taught me one thing, it’s that a solid foundation and full understanding of whatever you’re doing is key. For audio engineering, music composition, and technical troubleshooting the DARA program gives students exactly that. I implement things I’ve learned from DARA on a daily basis here in Nashville. Students would be lucky to have the opportunity to study in the cutting-edge DARA studios with the incredibly knowledgeable & helpful instructors.
The DARA program at USF is unlike any other audio program around. Students really get good hands on experience with equipment and software that other schools usually don’t allow until you’re a junior or senior. The program has definitely helped me become a very well rounded audio engineer, musician, and entrepreneur.
DARA is valuable, you learn where the money goes in and out of the music business, access to state of the art tools, personal access to industry professionals, and the encouragement necessary to pursue any dream no matter the size.
The professional recording studio that USF makes available to students in the DARA program makes it easy to produce. It’s accessible and well-equipped, and in addition, the DARA faculty provide expertise knowledge, which was really valuable. Learning the music production-side of things has made me a better audio engineer as well as a songwriter and beat maker, because I look at things from different perspectives.
